Students Learn English with Help of Technology

It’s not unusual to hear the sounds of three or four languages in room 216 at Douglass High School. The school is a newcomer center for refugees and immigrants.  The English Language Learner classes there are meant to help those students adjust to the new language and culture. And they’re building language skills with more than just a text book. They’re using  iPads.  KOMU 8’s Daniela Vidal tells us how technology is shaping an ELL classroom in Columbia.
